SPEAKER Pamela B. Silberman author of Simply Being: One Year with Spirit
TOPIC Simply Being Happiness
DESCRIPTION: Since the beginning of time humanity has sought to know itself in happiness, peace and love. Essentially, this seeking has become the only motivation for every choice we make. However, if you were to ask ten random passersby, "what is happiness?" most likely we would hear a multitude of responses. Why the variation? Perhaps happiness is based more on our inner ideas than our external experiences. Through Pam's presentation, we will explore the general ideas surrounding happiness, its influences and our inner desire for achieving this simple state of pure being. In addition, using resources from A Course in Miracles and Simply Being, we will walk through simple methods for choosing happiness in the multifaceted aspects of practical living. Pamela Silberman is a licensed professional Recreation Therapist and group counselor. Her writings have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Volunteer's Soul and numerous other publications. Pam's website is at www.simplybeing.net Her book, Simply Being: One Year with Spirit can be purchased at Amazon.com http://tinyurl.com/4lx2j2 or at your local independent book store.
