Screen Capture or How To Print What You See
For those of us who do not know our way around the special keys and clicks on PCs to capture and/or print what is on our browser screens, there is software available to help.
CNET provides information on one highly rated (free) package: Print Screen and Capture 32
To use it, all you so is to download the software and go through the installation procedures. Once activated, when you depress the PrtSc button at the top right of your keyboard, a popup screen gives you options you can select:
1. You can capture your full desktop including any multiple screens you may show on it. This is truly What You See Is What You Get.
2. You can capture the active window on your desktop or laptop.
3. You can select the area on your desktop you want to capture.
And you can optionally have whatever you capture also automatically saved to your disk at the location of your choosing with the name you want to use.
If you want to print the captured area, you can select the printer you use or an application like PDF converter to change it to a pdf file. Or you can disable printing entirely for this capture.
When you click OK on the popup, it will save your work if you have selected the option to do that and print to the printer of choice if you want to print.
There are several ways of doing all this without this software, but for the novice or uninitiated, the software provides all the functionality most users need and want.
